if you take anything I write as a suggestion which you should follow without thinking or checking its
correctness--and then you lose data, have to "start over", have a bad hair day, or your computer melts and your
house burns down, then:

Computers are very dangerous critters in general and especially so when loaded with an industrial strength
operating system and then treated like just another game box with BUILT IN training wheels
and crash guards to keep you "safely" LOCKED IN and following the herd.
