So, just how important is lower speeds in Hosby.
(Page under construction!)

I wonder how much skat this young lady will contribute to Juelsminde Kommune and Vejle Amt if she lives to be 99, instead of 9?

Okay, that is a silly reason to want more safety--however, I have been told said that sometimes politicians (or hired help) at the Kommune or Amt simply say: We don't have the money for more signs!
Beauty..
School childrenChildren line up for school. Sometimes if the bus is late they get bored and to pass the time they get to "playing around". In the meantime, the late driver (trying to get back on schedule) is likely to roar up at any second.
Even the wild life here is hyggeligt--too much so to run over for no good reason.Wild life adds charm to our little Hosby.
Was that a cat crossing the street? The fence is a little short, or the dogs a little tall. In either case when the neighbor's cat takes off across the road neither will look both ways first.
This looks safe enough. And, it is as long as the traffic is going no faster than 40 k/t and the walkers are not just around a bend where they cannot be seen.Kids, moms and sunshine.
Where is that man I was walking?Sometimes the owner (being walked by his dog) gets lost. And, of course it becomes the responsibility of the faithful companion to find him--no need to check for speeding traffic, finding "dad" is the most important thing!
It is no secret that we have a large influx of vacationers who ride their bicycles through our cozy little village. Some come to see the beauty at the Palsgaard Park, others just ride through on their way to somewhere else. This couple is standing in the middle of the road wondering which way to go. Being a visitor here they don't know that there might be a big truck on its way down the hill, just out of site and just a little too fast.Vacationers on bikes
Important excerciseVery important daily exercise of our young should be unquestionably safe.
There are no sidewalks. Should they roller skate in the dirt? Or on their grass lawn? Or, like all children for all ages should they have a chance to grow up while experiencing the joy of youth--without their parents having to stand guard to protect them from those who drive too fast? We can only protect them by making the total environment more safe--when no parent is there, on the spot, to protect them.Wheels
Both sides of the roadHere we have a biker on the right side of the road, and a walker on the left. Not much room in between.
All friends should be able to stand in the street and "talk".Did you see that cat on TV2?
Is there a child nearby? The old saying is: "Where there is smoke, there is fire." And, where there is a toy like this there must be a child nearby. But where?

more to come . . .
