I don't know where the following "came from". It kinda "came to me" on a beach walk a couple of days ago with my five year old Labrador Retriever (Molly) . . . as I was thinking back on days past, missed opportunities, fleeting time, etc.

NO TITLE

Should we grieve for the days that were,
but are no more?

Or, for the days that never were,
but might have been?

Or, for the days that were,
but should not have been?

Or, for the days that should have been,
but were not?

Or, for the days that were,
while we were elsewhere?

Does Time allow these questions?
Or does he rather demand we appreciate the days:

that were.
that are.
that will be.
or, might be.

By the way: If you wrote that, or know who did let me know. Maybe it just crawled out of my almost remembered/conscious memory . . . or maybe it originated in my head without my conscious effort. (Though I have spent some time trying to edit and/or "improve" it.)

And, if you wanna contemplate something else I dribbled, see here.
